Router Setup
How to Set Up Your DGA Router (Part Fibre Broadband)
Setting up your DGA router takes a couple of minutes. This video walks you through connecting the power, then linking the router to your phone socket. The only thing that changes is whether your socket has one slot or two, and we cover both.
Step by step
- 1Connect the power cable to the mains, then plug the other end into the power slot on the router.
- 2Take the broadband cable and plug one end into the grey slot on the router.
- 3If your socket has two slots, plug the other end of the grey cable straight into the socket.
- 4If your socket has a single slot, fit the small filter first, plug the grey cable into the filter, then slide the filter into the socket.
- 5Give the router a few minutes to power up and connect. You're ready once the broadband light settles.
Common questions
My socket only has one slot. What do I do?
You'll need the small filter that came with your kit. Plug the grey broadband cable into the filter, then slide the filter into your single-slot socket. That filter splits the line so broadband and phone can share it.
How long does the router take to connect?
Usually a few minutes from first power-up. Leave it alone while the lights settle. If it hasn't connected after about 15 minutes, switch it off at the mains, wait 30 seconds, and power it back on.
Which cable connects the router to the socket?
The grey cable. One end goes into the grey slot on the router, the other into your phone socket (directly if you have two slots, or through the filter if you have one).
