Openreach is shutting down the UK's traditional copper phone network, known as the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network), on 31st January 2027. After the switch-off, analogue phone lines stop working entirely. That includes standard landlines, older ISDN connections, fax machines, alarm lines, and door entry systems connected to the phone network.

Every business still using an analogue line needs to migrate to a digital alternative before the deadline.
